Julie Anne Christian, 58, Wausau, died peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Aspirus Hospice House. Julie was born on August 16, 1959 to Allen and Donna (Richmond) Hettinga in Wausau. She grew up in the Town of Maine and graduated from Wausau West High School in 1977. Julie married the farm boy down the road, Lee Christian, on September 27, 1980, and together they were blessed with six children, Cory, Carrie, Casey, Callie, Courtney, and Caitlin.

Julie was a women of faith that believed in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is now enjoying the blessings of her heavenly home.

Julie was a stay at home mother for many years. She was later a Teachers Aid at DC Everest Junior High and at Lincoln Elementary school, working with children with learning disabilities. Julie enjoyed spending time at her home and around the yard gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending holidays and special occasions with her children and grandchildren. Julie was a loving and caring women, always thinking of the needs of others and caring for them.

Julie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Lee; her six children, Cory (Nicole) Christian, Carrie (Kurt) Schultz, Casey (Sarah) Christian, Callie (Benjamin) Kobs, Courtney Christian, and Caitlin Christian; and her twelve grandchildren, Reese, Owen, Bennett, Colton, Claire, Chloe, Avery, Olive, Daisy, Levi, Abbi, and Colette.

A memorial celebration of Julie's life will be held at Willow Springs Garden, in the Village of Maine, on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A private family burial took place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Town of Berlin Cemetery.

A very special thanks goes to all family and friends who offered us love, kindness, and prayers through this difficult time.
