June Krenz

June E. Krenz, 84, Wausau, died early Monday, February 5, 2018 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center, Weston.

June was born September 7, 1933 on the family farm in the Town of Easton to the late Reinhard and Elsa (Stoeber) Marquardt.  She is a 1951 graduate of Wausau High School.  On June 20, 1953, June married the love of her life, Harold Krenz, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau.  The couple was blessed with two children: Susan and Ronald.  June worked in the factory for Wisconsin Box Company for 25 years before retiring and helping Harold with the ginseng and buffalo farming.  After 62 wonderful years together, Harold died on April 15, 2016.

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a very traditional sense of family and enjoyed activities like camping, fishing with her grandchildren, gardening, canning and baking for friends and family.   Over the past few years, June liked living at Renaissance Assisted Living and making new friends,

June is survived by her loving children, Susan Krenz of Neenah and Ron (Jodi) Krenz of Wausau; grandchildren, Michael Bartelme of Menasha, Jeremy (Katrina Nelson) Krenz and Shane (Kelsey Raduechel) Krenz both of Wausau; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Karlee Krenz; nieces, Diane Vlietstra and Karen (William) Schult.  She is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Dorothy Marquardt.

The funeral service for June will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February, 8, 2018 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau.  Pastor Jennifer Dahle will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church on Thursday.  Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.  Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements; you may sign our family guestbook at helke.com.
