Kathryn May Slomske, 80, of Wausau, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on August 23, 2024.
Kathryn was born May 2, 1944, in Wausau to the late Bernard and Violet (Westphal) Slomske. She worked at Wausau Insurance, Eastbay, H Phillips Co and sold real estate on the side for Action Realty. Her dad was a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder from 1965 to today, so Kathryn has enjoyed cheering on the Packers for hundreds of games. Growing up, she enjoyed traveling the United States with her family in their motor home and especially enjoyed time in Vail and Aspen skiing. Kathryn also loved spending time skiing the slopes at Rib Mountain. Later in life, she liked to spend her time shopping, gardening and watching the races at Elkhart Lake. Above all things, Kathryn relished in time spent with her sister, Virginia. They were truly the best of friends.
Kathryn is survived by her sister, Virginia Slomske and her beloved Akita dog, Nala. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Slomske; grandparents, Otto and Emma Westphal; horse, Brandy; and German Shepherds, Sasha, Sheeba, Candy, and Cindy.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Restlawn Memorial Park.
