Kenneth Prigge

November 24, 1962 — March 27, 2013

Ken was born November 24th 1962, the son of Clifford and Karen (Fenhaus) Prigge. A lifelong resident of the Wausau area, he was a 1981 graduate of Wausau East High School and attended UW – Marathon County for two years. On October 16th 1993, he was united in marriage to Nancy Nielsen.

Creating beautiful landscaping, building homes, and installing windows and patio doors were a few of the various jobs that Ken had over the years. He loved driving his 1950 green Dodge truck around town. Ken enjoyed music, especially singing in the choir at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. His interests included camping, stock car racing, and making authentic models, such as, World War II airplanes.

On Wednesday, March 27th 2013, Kenneth J. Prigge passed away, at age 50, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice, at Mount View Care Center.

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Nancy; parents, Clifford and Karen Prigge, Wausau; two stepsons, Cory (Kelly) Sillars, Wausau, and Clint Sillars, Weston; three step-grandchildren, Carson, Kateland, and Ethan; sister, Sandy (Scott) Skinner, Parker, CO; two goddaughters, Ashley and Alissa Skinner; and Regan, his beloved "grand-dog", who loved sitting on his lap. Ken enjoyed spending time with many other family members and countless friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his infant brother, David Lee.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 3rd, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Reverend Gary Froseth will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive guests from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 2nd, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau; and again on Wednesday, at church, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stephen Lutheran Church choir.

We want to thank the staff at Mount View Care Center and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice for the excellent care they gave Ken during the process of getting home to his angel.
