On early Sunday morning; March 6th, 2011 around 2:00 a.m.; Kevin Scott Emigh was called home to rest. He was enjoying a final ice fishing trip on Lake Minocqua and passed of natural causes enjoying the nature and sport he loved.
He is survived by his wife April Emigh, daughter, Amber Hrobsky, grandson, Dreven, granddaughters, Desiree and McKenzie and Kholoe; stepson Mitchell Pitek, stepdaughters, Krystal (Steve) Doran and Nicole Nowak, his step father, Jim Kirkbride; brothers, Edward (Shirley) Sadowski and Chris Emigh.
Kevin enjoyed many interest while alive including riding motorcycle, fishing, four wheeling, camping, bonfires, and rafting. Kevin owned and operated group homes and sober living facilities with his wife April here in the Wausau area. Kevin was involved in a step recovery program, and is survived by many friends in this community.
Kevin's remembered most by his slogans; "Do Good, Feel Good, It is what it is, and I didn't sober up to be miserable". Kevin dedicated lots of his free time to aid of the next suffering alcoholic.
Visitation and services will be at Helke Funeral Home in Wausau on Thursday, March 10th. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral to follow. After the services all are welcome to luncheon at the Alano Club of Wausau.
