Kurt Koltz passed away peacefully, April 17, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, after a long-term illness.
He was born November 20, 1963, in Wausau, to Robert and Phyllis (McCutcheon) Koltz. He attended D.C. Everest High School and worked at Kolbe and Kolbe Millwork, before a back injury caused an early-life disability. He enjoyed socializing with friends and loved a good, challenging game of chess.
Survivors include his mother, Phyllis Koltz, Wausau; 4 sisters, Mary Koltz, St. Paul, MN, Holly (Joel) LaGrande, Oregon, Peggy (Rod) Kleiber, Wausau, and Heidi Gronna, Tomahawk; 2 brothers, Robert T. (Sue) Koltz, Brooklyn Center, MN, and Don Koltz, Blaine, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert, in January 2010; brother, Noel; and infant sister, Kelly.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 22nd, at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau.
