Lanette Steinagel

Lanette M. Steinagel, 50, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at her home. She was born in Wausau on April 22, 1961 to parents, Harold and Florence (Jahnke) Steinagel. Lanette grew up in Wausau and attended local schools, graduating from Wausau West High School in 1978.
Lanette enjoyed writing and was a great poet, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles. She liked spending time with her two boys, and they especially liked fishing together. She was helpful and always was willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Lanette was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by sons, Luke and Cody Sliwicki of Wausau; father and step-mother, Harold (Joyce) Steinagel of Wausau; brothers, Fred (Marilyn) Steinagel of Schofield, Keith "Whitey" (Pam) Steinagel of Weston, and Mike (Joan) Steinagel of Wausau; sister, Charlotte (Joe) Windorski of Weston; step-brother, Thomas Marschall of Weston; step-sisters, Kathleen Schoepke of Schofield and Sandra Crean of Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; and her special angel, Gary Prisch.
Lanette was preceded in death by her mother Florence.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 14, 2011, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr., Wausau, with Rev. Chris Sansom officiating. Friends and family may call beginning at 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. You may sign the family guestbook at helke.com.
