Larry Celing

Larry James Celing, age 67, passed away at his home on November 4, 2015, in Wausau. He was born October 7, 1948, in Chicago, to Edwin and Helen (Simonsen) Celing. He was a 1966 graduate of Schurz High School. Larry worked as a maintenance technician for Crane Packing Co in Chicago, and was currently the maintenance manager for Mt. Sinai Congregation.

Larry was a kind, and loving man, who enjoyed fishing in northern Wisconsin, shooting pool, and watching old movies. He was an excellent cook and woodworker. He devoted his time and energy as caregiver to his mother, Helen, until she passed away at age 99.

Larry is survived by his brother, Donald (Mary) Celing, Stevens Point, and sister, Barbara (Richard) Prouty, Montello; nephews Adam (Renee) Celing, and their children Gabriel, Ben, and Maggie; Evan (Kristin) Celing, and their children Madison and Michael; Ian (Hannah) Celing; and one niece, Erin Celing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen, and father, Edwin.

It was Larry's wish to not have a service. Instead we ask you to remember his gentleness, his generosity, his love for his family, including his extended Mt Sinai family. Larry will be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Land O' Lakes, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neighbor's Place, Wausau, or to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund at Mt Sinai Congregation, Wausau.
