Larry Miller was a quiet family man who will be remembered for his love of fishing and his wonderful sense of humor. At the age of 58, Larry passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 17, 2008.
He was born October 16, 1949 in Chippewa Falls to Ellen (Barnett) Miller of Jim Falls, WI and the late John Miller. On October 17, 1979, Larry married Carol Teske in Wausau. For several years, Larry had worked at Northern Valley Workshop. He was an avid fisherman and participated in several Bass fishing tournaments. Larry also enjoyed his annual family fishing trips to Lake Gogebic.
Survivors include his wife Carol of Wausau, his mother Ellen Miller, three sons, Russell (Evelyn) Miller of New Auburn, Brian (Rhonda) Pederson of Cadott, Jeff (Tami) Miller of Eau Claire, eight grandchildren, Ariel, Blake, Bryce, Courtney, Eric, Brooke, Samantha, and Derrick, one sister, Linda Miller of Jim Falls, his nieces, Tonja (Scott) Stelzer and Sonja (Darren) Dobbs all of Chippewa Falls, and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Gary Schultz will officiate with Reverend Jeffrey Hinds of Highland Community Church will co-officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., today at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
