Lavora Genrich Marquardt, 96, Wausau, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Hospice House under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Lavora was born April 7, 1914 in Wausau, daughter of the late Bertha and Robert Bloom. She married Walter A. Marquardt September 6, 1941 and the couple celebrated 54 years together before Walter's death, July 3, 1996. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Esther Circle, Wisconsin Valley Auxiliary to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, and past member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine.
Lavora is survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Helke Funeral Home, Wausau is assisting with the arrangements.
