Lawrence "Larry" A. Kittel, 73, of Kronenwetter, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born to Lawrence C. and Laura (Stallman) Kittel on September 3, 1939, in Wausau. He grew up in the Wausau area and attended Newman Catholic High School. He also attended the Wausau Vocational School after high school to further his education and prepare for his job as an accountant. Larry worked for several businesses over the course of his career including; M & S Electric, Hammer Blow Corporation, Bob Johnson Chevrolet, Jim Carter Chevrolet, and Cedarcraft.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors and working on his property; from tending his garden to cutting wood. Every year he would keep track of how much wood he cut and how long it took him, trying to better his time the next year. He league bowled for many years at Day's Bowl-A-Dome and also played darts. Larry liked sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Larry is survived by two children, Linda (Kregg) Lukasko and Gary (Tammy) Kittel; seven grandchildren, Stephany, Stacey, Whitney, Wayne, Kelsi, Brandon, and Ciarra; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Kittel of Sturgeon Bay and Jon (Mary) Kittel; sister, Sally (Larry) Zuelsdorff of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be on Friday, October 12, 2012, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau.
