Lawrence "Larry" Luedtke, 86 of Wausau, died Thursday, February 22, 2007 at his home.
Larry was born on January 30, 1921 in Wausau, son of the late Albert and Clara (Pankonien) Luedtke. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Larry worked as a machinist at Merrill Manufacturing prior to retiring. Larry was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a skilled handy man, even building his own home and furniture.
Survivors include one sister, Selma "Sally" Schroeder of Athens, niece Kathie (Gary) Farrington of Tucson, AZ, three nephews, David Schroeder of Wausau, Allen (Shari) Schroeder of Wausau, and Mark Schroeder of Athens. He was preceded in death by his sister Verne Apple.
Funeral services for both Lawrence and his brother Elmer will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. The Rev. Matthew Hein will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
