Lenora A. Langsdorf, 87, of Wausau, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Lenora was born on November 15, 1924 in Wausau. She was the daughter of Edward and Lydia (Droegemueller) Langsdorf. Lenora graduated from Wausau High School on May 28, 1942. She was employed for many years at Wisconsin River Supply. In retirement she worked part-time for the YWCA and Bridge Community Health Clinic. Lenora lived, in retirement, at Kannenberg Plaza Apartments until August of 2009. She resided at Marywood Center until her death.
Lenora was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the Lutheran Ladies Guild. Lenora was a devoted daughter and granddaughter. She took good care of her mother and Grandmother Bertha (Hamann) Droegemueller.
She is survived by her brother, Frederick Langsdorf of Wausau; first cousins, Rev. Dr. Edgar (Becky) Krentz of Chicago, IL, Richard (Barbara) Krentz of Goldsboro, NC, Florence Denninger of Fort Wayne, IN, Edna (Ted) Levack of Des Moines, WA, Ellen Kay of Minneapolis, MN, Grace
(Rev. Dennis) Pegorsch of Wausau, Rev. Carl (Marcia) Droegemueller of Maryville, MO, Rev. Paul (Wilma) Droegemueller of Giddings, TX, Rhoda (Rev. Karl) Davies of Highland, IN, and Mark Droegemueller of Milton, WI; and other relatives and friends.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, MarJorie Langsdorf.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, January 9, 2012, at Christ Lutheran Church, 1300 Townline Rd., Wausau, with the Rev. David Wetmore officiating. Friends and family may call beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. Private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
