Lenore Anna Emma Hickman, 99, of Wausau, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Wausau Manor under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Lenore was born January 18, 1918, in the Town of Stettin, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Marie (Taege) Fenhaus. She made her home in Wausau all her life and was employed at Marathon Rubber Plant during World War II. In later years she worked in the bakery at Dales Supermarket, where her specialty was decorating cakes. When her son Rod started the Best Bakery on Grand Ave she continued her cake decorating skills.
Lenore enjoyed reading and has read every Danielle Steele book written. She also enjoyed crocheting, making afghans and was the "go to girl" for the families sewing needs.
She is survived by five children; Geri (Lloyd) Wojciechowski, Rod (Bonnie) Fisher, Ken (Mary) Fisher, Ann (Roy) Notz and Debra (Don) Belliveau, 14 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Wally Fisher and Alva Hickman, a step son Alva Hickman Jr and four brothers, Wilber, Conrad, Elroy and Melvin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church on Stewart. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Entombment will be at the Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
