LeRoy Seehafer, age 80, passed away on Friday September 20, 2024 in Weston surrounded by his family.
LeRoy was born in Wausau, WI to Wilbert and Myra Seehafer. LeRoy married Jean Wenzlick of Weston WI. on June 22, 1968 in Merrill WI at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He Graduated in May of 1968 with a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering. LeRoy and Jean moved to Midland Michigan, where they started their family. LeRoy worked at Dow Chemical until May of 1980 and then moved back to the Wausau area. He worked at Zimpro for many years leaving in the mid 90's. LeRoy worked for many years at the Greenheck Fan until he retired in 2009. In his free time LeRoy enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother and friends in Wyoming, Alaska and Canada, he also enjoyed fishing up north and on the great lakes. gardening and general work around the house, spending time with family up north at the cabin, going to the grandkinds and great grandkinds activities. LeRoy especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all that knew him.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Jean Seehafer of Weston, (2) Children: Brian (Sara) Seehafer of Wausau, Laura (Ron) Lahnala of Marathon. (6)Grandchildren: Natani, David (Karyn), Carissa (Lucas), Mary, Lucas, Allyson. (2) Great-Grandchildren: Adley, Macy. (3)Step Great-grandchildren: Carter, Averie, Cohen. (3)Sisters: Shirley Manning, Shiela Burgus, Sara Goetsch. Sister-in-law: Judy Seehafer and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother: Gene Seehafer.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church (6205 Alderson St, Weston, WI 54476).
Services for LeRoy Seehafer will be held on Friday September 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church with Pastor Lance Hoelscher officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
The Family would like to Thank the Staff at Pride TLC and Aspirus Hospice for their care they provided for LeRoy Seehafer.
Any memorials will be used towards a bench that will be put up at the Willow Flowage.
