Lillian J. Burke, 99, formerly of 1239 S. 11th Ave., Wausau, died May 23, 2010, at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau.
She was born October 20, 1910, in Merrill, daughter of the late William and Minnie (VonLoh) Dorn. In June 1928, she married Carl Karow, they were later divorced. She then married Andrew Burke in December 1953.
Lillian is survived by two children, Doris (Arlon) Habeck, Sheboygan, and Arvid (Judith) Karow, Wausau. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, Gerald (Lanee) Habeck, Brian (Susan) Habeck, Allen (Cynthia) Habeck, Russell (Lucinda) Habeck, Roger (Cynthia) Habeck, Dennis (Rebecca) Habeck, Kurt (Camille) Karow, and Kris Mary (Robert) Choroszy; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; 3 great-great-great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Ray (Corrine) Karow, and Howard Engles; and sister-in-law, Mary Anne Karow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew; two sisters, Esther Pfingsten and Myrtle Engles; and two brothers, Adolph and Elroy Dorn.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Reverend Joel Brandt will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Family will receive guests Thursday, at the church, beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
