Lillian L. Engebrecht

Lillian Louise (Zahrt) Engebrecht, age 90, of Wausau loved her Lord and was taken to her heavenly home on April 13, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison, WI.  Lill was born on June 15, 1933, to Emil and Esther (Strehlow) Zahrt in Wausau. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau. She married her loving husband, Robert "Bob" on June 25, 1955.  He passed away on August 1, 2013.  They had three Children.
    Lill loved her family and enjoyed gardening, cooking meals for BIG family gatherings and baking, (especially) Angel Food Cakes for may birthdays and special events for church. 
    She is survived by sons, David Sr. (Anne) and Mark (Yvonne (fiance)); two grandchildren, David Jr. (Tia) and Gracie; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Aleashia, Sophie, Robert and Michael; three great great-grandchildren, Aven, Aylah and Ellawyn; siblings, Herbie, Marion, and Ellie (Ed), In-laws, George (Charlotte), Norman (Nancy), Anna, Brenda and many nephews and nieces.
    Besides her parents and Bob, Lill was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila, granddaughter, Lorie, brothers Marv (Kate), Willy (Jean), Lenny (Mabel); sisters Milly (Marv), Addie (Frank), Vera (Bernie), two infant siblings, Willard and Juanita; In-laws, Arthur, Jerry (Ellen) and Charlie. 
    Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 27, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wausau (709 N 6th St, Wausau, WI 54403) With Rev. Steven Gjerde officiating. Visitation wil be on Saturday April 27, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 PM.  In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to various Zion Church funds. The family wishes to express their thanks to Pastor Gjerde for his many calls to her when she was in the hospital and to her doctors and nurses for the special care they provided.
