Loretta Martha Seidler, 81, of Kronenwetter, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Cedar Creek Manor, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born on August 17, 1932, to William and Sylvia (Carlson) Johnson in Wittenberg. Loretta grew up in the area living in Wittenberg, Antigo, and the Town of Maine, where she met her future husband, Ervin, who was a neighbor. They were married in Wausau on September 4, 1948. She worked at Wausau Hospital in the Surgical Preparation Department.
Family was very important to Loretta. She enjoyed getting together with her family, especially spending time with them at the cottage up north or playing cards, playing Canasta or Sheepshead. She could even be found enjoying a game of Solitaire. She sang with her sisters at gatherings at Rothschild Pavilion as a young woman. Loretta always listened to her granddaughters' Wausau West basketball games on the radio. She made sure to keep track of how things were going for them and the team. Loretta was also an avid reader. She will be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens that were enjoyed by family and friends
Loretta is survived by her children, James (Barbara) Seidler of Manitowoc, Larry (Jean) Seidler of Schofield, Kenneth Seidler of Wausau, Sarah (Greg) Falk of Wausau, and Michael (Chrissy) Seidler of Wausau; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Betty (Clifford) Tietz of Wausau and Virginia (Albert) Reissmann of Wausau; sister-in-law, Joan (Linus) Schmitt of Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.
