Lorraine Hainy, 89, of Wausau, died Saturday July 17, 2010 at North Central Health Care, Wausau.
Lorraine was born April 10, 1921 in Cold Springs, Minn. to the late Louis and Anna (Olk) Zieglmeier. She married Bryal Hainy on February 26, 1965 in Wausau. Bryal preceded her in death on June 21, 1991. Lorraine was a cook for over 20 years at Balistari’s Restaurant. She enjoyed going up North, being outside in nature, walking, babysitting young children and visiting her grandchildren.
Survivors include four daughters; Nancy (Jim) Kraimer of Wausau, Rose Mary Hardison and Kandice Miller both of Las Vegas, NV., and Lora Hainy of Wausau, one son David (Debra) Wiensch of Merrill, one son-in-law Gerald Graebel of Merrill, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Graebel, 8 sisters; Isabelle, Hildegard, Selvina, Alma, Stella, Evelyn, Marie and Mabel, and 4 brothers; Albert, Norbert, Lawrence, and Martin.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday July 21, 2010 at the Church of St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau. Officiating will be the Reverend Steven Brice. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday July 20, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
