Lorraine was born June 3, 1922, in the Town of Texas, WI. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Louise (Weinkauf) Grade. She received her elementary education in the Town of Texas in a one-room school and graduated from Wausau High School.
On September 29, 1945, she was united in marriage to William Schultz at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Wausau. Lorraine and William made their living farming in the town of Texas. Eight years after William's death, Lorraine moved to the City of Wausau.
Lorraine was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and also a member of the Ladies Aid for over 25 years.
Her faith in God, love for her family and time spent with them was of great importance to her. She enjoyed babysitting the grandchildren and playing cards. Some people are never satisfied; Lorraine, on the other hand, felt truly blessed with everything she had in her life.
She is survived by her six children: Milton (Marsha) Schultz, Wausau; Nancy (Gary) Duren, Sun Prairie, WI; Kenneth (Jeannie) Schultz, Blair, WI; Rita Schultz, Wausau; Lynn (Michael) Fremming, Wausau; and Mary (Harold) Rodemeier, Wausau. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Dan, Mike, Stacy, Michelle, Justin, Jesse, Jason, Jonathon, Tom, Brian and Lisa and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers (Hollen and Lawrence).
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7505 North 33rd Street, Wausau. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Scott Holoubeck officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery prior to a lunch back at church.
