Lucille Loretta Pfantz, age 93, of Wausau, WI, peacefully passed away on February 4, 2024 at her home, She was born on July 13, 1930, in Wausau, WI, to her parents Frank and Elsie (Khonhorst) Tesch. Lucille was a beloved member of her community, known for her warm hearted spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Throughout her life, Lucille found happiness with her husband Floyd Pfantz who she married in 1950 in Wausau and enjoyed many simple life pleasures together. As a homemaker, her days were filled with love and care for her family. She poured her heart into cooking delicious meals and baking delightful treats that brought comfort and happiness to all who tasted them. Her skillful hands were always busy, whether it was sewing, knitting, or crocheting beautiful creations that would be cherished for generations.

Lucille had a deep passion for music and played her organ with a grace that echoed throughout her home. She found solace and spiritual fulfillment in her faith, regularly attending church services and finding strength in the community that surrounded her.

In her leisure time, Lucille delighted in embarking on new adventures with her husband Floyd as they were inseparable. Whether it was exploring new destinations, going for leisurely strolls, treating herself to her favorite Dairy Queen treats, or trying her luck at the casino, she embraced life with zest and curiosity. She loved the camaraderie that came with playing cards and treasured the moments spent with family and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends, creating cherished memories that will forever be cherished.

Lucille will be deeply missed by her loving sons Brian and Rodney Pfantz, who had the privilege of experiencing her unconditional love and support throughout there life. Her kind and gentle presence will forever be etched in our hearts, reminding us of the importance of family bonds and the enduring power of love.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the healthcare professionals and staff who provided compassionate care to Lucille in her final days.

Lucille is survived by her Sons: Rodney Pfantz of Kenosha, Brian Pfantz of Wausau. (6) Grandchildren: Michael (Lilly) Pfantz of Appleton, Steven (Sara) Pfantz of Racine, Cory Pfantz of Wausau, Jon (Kaili) Pfantz of Glendale, AZ, Andy (Jamie) Pfantz of Wausau, Abigail (Darek) Oliphant of Gilberts, IL. (11) Great-grandchildren: Kaylie, Chloe, Andrew, Karessa, Liam, Ryley, Landyn, Quintin, Madalynn, Oran, Amelia. and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, Great-Grandson: Aidan

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Lucille Loretta Pfantz will be held on Friday February 16, 2024 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church (512 Mcclellan St, Wausau, WI 54403). Pastor Karoline Schwantes officiate. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024 at Helke Funeral Home (302 Spruce Street Wausau WI 54401) From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and visitation on Friday February 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. Following the service, friends and family will gather for a burial ceremony at Restlawn Memorial Park. 

In honoring Lucille's spirit of celebration, a reception will be held afterward, where we will reminisce on happy memories and share stories that reflect the joy she brought to all our lives.

Though our hearts ache with grief, let us also remember to celebrate Lucille's vibrant life and the legacy of love she leaves behind. She will forever live on in our hearts, and her memory will be a guiding light during moments of both joy and sorrow.

Rest peacefully, dear Lucille. Your love and spirit will forever shine upon us.
