Mabel Baumann, 94, Wausau, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2013, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice, surrounded by her daughter and grandchildren.
She was born in the Town of Easton on March 20, 1918, to the late Walter and Clara (Nienow) Buedding. Mabel grew up on the family. She married Norman Baumann on June 6, 1939, in Wausau. Together they shared a wonderful life of traveling to Alaska and Arizona. He preceded her in death after 55 years of marriage, in 1996.
Mabel was an avid gardener and provided Wausau residents the beauty of her work. She also enjoyed baking, canning her vegetables from her garden, hunting and fishing.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Arrowood, Puerto Penasco, Mexico; grandchildren, Jamie Gardner, Glendale, AZ, and David Voigt, Surprise, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, and Dylan Gardner, and Hunter Voigt; great-great-granddaughter, Rylee Belle Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.
Mable is further preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Dellenbach and Lila Will; and brother, Wilbur Buedding.
Funeral services will take place 11 A.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the Restlawn Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Rev. Philip Schneider will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the chapel. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
