Magdalena "Marlena" Fust, 74, Wausau, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, at Marywood Nursing Home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
She was born May 31, 1938, in Cologne, Germany, to the late Hans and Sophia Hack. She married Jim Fust on December 23, 1972, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. Occasionally, Marlena enjoyed trips to the casino now and then, and also watching Packer games, as she was an avid Packer's fan. She also loved spending time with her cat, Missy. Marlena will be remembered as a strong, but loving, caring person who would do anything for anyone, for any reason. She also owned and operated the Hideout Bar from 1998 until 2004.
She will be missed by her husband, Jim, Wausau; daughter, Sonja Schmitz; granddaughter, Alisha Prignitz; great-granddaughter, Jolina; brother, Karl (Ursula) Hack, all of Cologne, Germany; cousin, Helga (Bill) Smith, Florida; and a ver special friend, Arlene "Ozzie" Ketlewski.
