Marcella “Maisie” Ann Kuehl (Mesalk) passed away peacefully at her home in Wausau, Wisconsin, on April 18, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on February 20th, 1932, and raised in Wausau, she remained deeply rooted in her hometown throughout her entire life.
Marcella was the beloved wife of Percy Kuehl and a devoted mother to Scott and Pamela Kuehl. She was strong, outspoken, and never afraid to say what was on her mind. Her determined nature brought the family through the toughest times, especially after losing both her husband and son Scott, an eventually her daughter Pam as well.
Maisie enjoyed the simple things—fishing, cooking, and hunting for good deals. Her kitchen table was always a place of comfort, honesty, and love. She was incredibly proud of her granddaughter, Kaydee Kuehl (Nicholas Jirgl) and found new joy in her great-granddaughter, Adalynn, who became her light in later years. They were a big part of her heart and a source of strength that kept her going.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Corey Gutowski, Barb Woodworth, Mikaela Zuelsdorff, and the Aspirus Hospice team for their compassionate care during Marcella’s final days.
May her memory bring peace and comfort to all who loved her.
