Margaret Froemming

Margaret Martha Froemming, 95, Wausau, died Thursday, April 07, 2011 at the North Central Health Care Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Martha was born September 7, 1915 in Fulda, MN to the late Herbert and Mary (Meyer) Grussing. After both parents died when she was young, Martha and her eight siblings moved to the Wausau area where she lived her entire life. She married Edward Froemming on June 4, 1949 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau and the couple only had a few years together before Edward's death in 1953.

Martha was a very quiet woman who enjoyed spending time with her family. She worked for Marathon Electric before changing jobs and working for first Saint Mary's Hospital and then Wausau Hospital in food service. Martha enjoyed traveling around the country by car visiting relatives in Nebraska and even going out to California three times.

Martha is survived by her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Herbert, Siegfried, Frieda, Hannah, Rose, Clara, Pauline and Marie.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Reverend Gary Schultz will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church and last until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Pine Grove Cemetery. You may sign our family guest book at www.helke.com.
