Margaret Nina Riedl, 89, Wausau, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Wellington Place under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice.
Margaret was born August 6, 1919 in Wausau to the late John and Anna (Edler) Hildebrandt. While ice skating in Marathon Park, Margaret met the love of her life, Edward Riedl. They were married in Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, on November 12, 1949. Some of their happiest days were spent up north at their cottage on Lake Nakomis in Hefford Junction, .The happy couple celebrated fifty-five wonderful years of marriage prior to Edward’s death on September 8, 2005. Margaret lived a very simple, frugal life but was a very warm and giving person. She was a grandmother to Chuck’s children, Amy and Brad.
Margaret is survived by her loving nephews, Chuck (Anita) Hildebrandt of Eau Claire, Donald (Kim) Hildebrandt of Wausau, and Richard Hildebrandt of Nekoosa; and many more extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, Martin, Harold, Robert, Donald and John Hildebrandt; and sisters, Bertha Busko, Martha Benz, Myrtle Klemme, and Hazel Traska.
