Margaret Weisner

January 20, 1918 — July 21, 2010

Margaret “Margie” Weisner loved her church and her family more than anything. Margie left this earth spiritually fit with loved ones around her. She was a member of the Church of St. Anne and involved in the St. Therese Circle. At one time Margie was a Girl Scout scoutmaster at St. James Catholic Church.


Margie was born January 20, 1918 in Wausau to the late Joseph and Barbara (Kult) Witeck. On April 5, 1941, she married Elroy Weisner in Dubuque, IA. They made their home on North 7th Ave., where Margie took loving care of their family, while Elroy worked for the Marathon County Highway Dept.


At the age of 92, Margie passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Marywood Convalescent Center.


Survivors include two sons, Roy (Sherrie) Weisner of Wausau, Frank Witeck of Hayes, VA, three grandchildren, Jeffery and Michael Weisner, Terry Witeck, 8 great grandchildren, Megan Weisner, Morgan Muraca, Emily and Sydney Levick, Miranda, William, Harley, and Noah Johnston, 2 great great grandchildren, Savannah and Cheyenne Muraca, and 3 step grandchildren, Robin (Leah) Warden, Evan and Sarah Johnston, god child, Patricia Johnson, and extended family. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy, three sisters, Mary Doris Thompson, Barbara Witeck, Katheryn Messing, three brothers, Joseph, Frank, and John Witeck, and a granddaughter, Christy Witeck Johnston.


The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Church of St. Anne. Father Steve Brice will officiate. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
