Margaret Wilde

Margaret "Maggie" O. Wilde, 89 a longtime Wausau resident passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Wausau Manor under the care of Aseracare Hospice.
She was born June 30, 1925 in the Town of Maine, WI, daughter of the late Carl and Amanda (Fabarius) Radtke. She received her education in a one room school house near the Town of Maine. Maggie worked at Fromm Mink Farm until she was united in marriage to Edward Wilde on June 19, 1943. Edward and Maggie lived in Kewaunee, WI for a short time later returning to the Wausau area to live with her parents. They later built a home in Wausau where she continued to live following Edward's death in 1984.
Maggie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing, Bingo, Sheepshead and spending time working in the garden tending to her roses. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, one son Jim and one brother Henry Radtke.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Scholfield of Wausau and Gerry Smiley of Lake, Mills, WI, one grandson Roger Scholfield and two great grandchildren Zachery and Braelyn.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 pm Friday December 5, 2014 with a 4 pm Memorial Service at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St Wausau with Rev. Bruce Lamont of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating. Private burial will at the Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
