Marie Czerwinski

Marie Eleanor Czerwinski, 85, of Wausau, died Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Marywood Nursing Home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Marie was born September 22, 1925 in the town of Frankford to the late John and Elizabeth (Grebowski) Mohr. She married Clarence Czerwinski on October 11, 1947 in Wausau. Clarence preceded her in death on July 19, 1989. Marie was an amazing cook, working for Pat's Diner until she was 72. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and flowers. Marie had an easy going way about her and had a great sense of humor. She loved being a grandmother and was always willing to help her children. Her door was always open to family and friends.

Survivors include four daughters; Linda (William) Bresnahan Jr., Diane (Robert) Kasten, Faye (Kerry) Evon and Judy (Dennis) Wenzel all of Wausau, three sons; Dennis (Sheila) Czerwinski, Daniel (Julie) Czerwinski, and Jeffery (Diane) Czerwinski all of Wausau, 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one sister Lorraine (Edward) Colcord of Wausau.

Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Detert; sisters, Evelyn Shorey, Marcella Tosche and Bernice Hanneman; brothers, Leonard and Norman Mohr; and her best four legged friend, Molly.

Funeral services will be 12:30 PM on Thursday, December 23 at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Deacon Bob Anderson will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a warm word of thanks to the nurses and staff of Marywood Nursing Home and the staff of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for their compassionate care of Marie during the final year of her life.
