Marie Fust

Marie E. Fust, 93, of Wausau, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Marywood Center under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was born to the late Samuel and Marie (Mueller) Eggebrecht in Edgar, WI on March 10, 1918. Marie married Harold Fust on August 29, 1936 in Wausau.
Marie was a hard worker, a people person, and never one to complain. This was evident in the businesses that she worked in. She owned Harold's Bar from 1945-1966 with her husband, and then was co-owner of BerMar Fashions, where she worked until her retirement at 71. Marie enjoyed traveling, sewing, and had a great time dancing. She took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Judy (Dorn) Ward of Wausau; daughter-in-law, Marietta Fust of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Renee (Josh Koenig) Stahoviak of Hawaii, Lisa (Brad) Werger of Wausau, Dina (Scott Turner) Slowenski of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Michael (Corrine) Fust of Hebron, IL; great-grandchildren, Alexis and McKenzie Walters, Stefan (Trinity) Mergendahl and Mara Mergendahl, Daniel Paul, and Angelina, Sophia, and Isabella Fust; and great-great-granddaughter, Zoe Mergendahl.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband; son, David; parents; brother, Ervin Eggebrecht; and sisters, Bertha Ziegel and Ruth Corzella.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave., Wausau, with Rev. Joel Brandt officiating. Friends and family may call beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.
