Marie Schultz

Marie E. (Urban) Schultz, 90, of Wausau, passed away Sunday morning, April 8, 2012, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born in Wausau on September 10, 1921 to the late Fred and Elizabeth (Prinz) Urban. Marie attended local schools and was a life-long resident of Wausau. On June 5, 1948 she married Robert Schultz at St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
Marie worked as a cook and server for the Wausau School District at Longfellow and Hawthorn Schools. She loved to be around the kids at school, and her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie spent her summers at the family cottage in Minocqua.
Marie is survived by her children, Jay (Nora) Schultz of Ringle, Jerry (Mary) Schultz of Wausau, and Cindy Schultz of Wausau; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Don Urban of Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; four brothers; and two sisters.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau, with the Rev. Philip Schneider officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 9:00 am at the funeral home until the time of service. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
