Marie Teske

Marie was born October 24th 1914, the daughter of the late August and Ida (Zemke) Moeck, in the Town of Stettin. On June 15th 1935, she was united in marriage to Clifford Teske.

A long-time member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau, she enjoyed participating in the church guild and quilting group. When she found time, she also liked to garden.

At the age of 96, Marie Alma Lillie Teske, of Wausau, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Marywood Center, Wausau.

Marie will be sadly missed by her five children, Ray Teske, Wausau, Margie (Edward) Sandstrom, Windsor, WI, Marlene Untiedt, Edgar, Mary Ann (Allen) Aschbrenner, Athens, and Marilyn (Brian) Luedtke, Merrill; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in 1982; 5 sisters, Helen Kolbe, Leona Bantes, Ella Buch, Zelma Flood, and Florence Halloran; daughter-in-law, Leona Teske; and son-in-law, DuWayne Untiedt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 4th 2011, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Reverend Gary Froseth will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Family will receive guests the day of the service from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the service, at the church.
