Marion Jaeger

Marion R. Jaeger, 92, of Wausau, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Hospice House under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born December 16, 1918 in Wausau to the late Hermon and Mary (Helke) Scheel. Marion married Marvin W. Jaeger at St. Paula�(TM)s United Church of Christ on May 16, 1945 by Pastor Ortwein. She was a member of St. Paula�(TM)s United Church of Christ and a member of the womena�(TM)s quilting group. She helped in the kitchen for funerals and was a Girl Scout leader. She loved to knit and crochet. She worked at Marathon Electric and Lemkea�(TM)s Cheese.
She loved Lawrence Welk music. She dearly loved her two kids, grandchildren, and her one great-grandchild. She never missed sending birthday cards or gifts to them.
Marion is survived by a daughter, Karen (Marvin) Anderson; son, David (Donna) Jaeger; five grandchildren, Chad Anderson, Carly (Travis) Hasse, Nick, Nate, and Jennifer Jaeger; and one great-grandchild, Tyler James Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; two sisters, Pearl and Helen Scheel; and brother, Wilbert Scheel.
A funeral service will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, with the Rev. Philip Schneider officiating. Family and friends may call beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow from Restlawn Mausoleum Chapel, Wausau.
