Marion Radenz

Marion L. Radenz, 87, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2012 at Applegate Terrace. She was born October 27, 1924 in Wausau, to the late Emil and Martha (Kufahl) Bauman.

Marion was a kind, loving, compassionate and doting mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a kind and gentle spirit that loved openly without judgment. She believed that the most important role in life was to be at home for her children and later her grandchildren as they grew up. Celebrating 64 years of marriage to her late husband Eugene Radenz, their life together was ripe with laughter and love. As an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, member of a dance club, girl scouts, welfare workers, and the quilting committee her zest for life and compassion for others was abounding. She will be remembered for her gentle and loving ways. A special thank you to the loving caregivers at Applegate who were much more than caregivers, they were family. In addition, we would also like to thank Hospice for the compassionate care provided in her final days.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (John) Larson of Appleton, WI, and Barbara (Richard) Furlick of Wauwatosa, WI; her grandchildren Melissa Larson of Milwaukee, WI, Gregory Larson of Madison WI, and Vanessa Shenfeld of Indianapolis, IN; siblings, Gordon (Marilyn) Bauman of Wausau, and Shirley (Eugene) Uekert of Marathon, WI.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Radenz, her parents, and two siblings.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewart Avenue, with Rev. Joel Brandt officiating. Visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of service at the church. Entombment will be in Restlawn Gardens of Eternal Rest, Wausau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Trinity Lutheran Church or Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
