October 2, 1923 — May 15, 2010

Marjorie Jean was born October 2, 1923, in South Bend, IN, to the late Dale and Wanda (Norton) Hoskin. She grew up and attended schools in Wausau. In September 1946, she was united in marriage to Wallace Durkee. Together they shared 38 years of marriage, enjoying life, and raising their children, prior to his death in November 1984.

She married again in December 1989, to Orville Hanstedt. The couple lived in Pulaski, WI, where they made many memories with their numerous friends. She also attended nearby St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Zachow, participating in the Ladies’ Auxiliary and card clubs. The couple travelled across the country on train, enjoyed camping, and spending time with family.

Marjorie will be remembered as a happy woman, supporting those she loved; and someone who took pride in caring for her family. She had a knack for knitting and was talented with all kinds of crafts, a gift she passed on to her daughter, Gena.

Along with her parents, and husband, Wallace, she was predeceased by her second husband, Orville, in 2005; and sister, Janet.
