Marjorie Marquardt

Marjorie M. Marquardt, 72, of Rib Mountain passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Ministry St. Clare's Hospital, Weston.
She was born September 10, 1940 in Birnamwood to the late Raymond and Elmeda (Vaughn) Mosier. On October 15, 1960, Marge married Robert R. Marquardt in Wausau. For many years, Marge provided child care in her home. Over the years she enjoyed reading stories, playing games and watching the little ones grow up under her care. Marge was a Chicago Bears fan, loved watching auto racing (such as NASCAR and Formula 1) and could talk college sports with anyone, especially about the Duke Blue Devils. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her family including trips to Graceland and Mt. Rushmore. Marge and Bob had also been active supporters of the Wausau Drum and Bugle Corp. Some of Marge's other interests included sewing, cooking, music and gardening with Begonias as her specialty. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and extended family, as they meant everything to her. She went to every soccer game, swim meet, concert, recital etc., that she could. She was the most loving, caring and giving person anyone could ask for.
Survivors include her husband Bob of Rib Mountain, four children, Debbie (Chris) DeLaporte of Wausau, Dawn (Keith) Kulpa of Arbor Vitae, Dean (Sue) Marquardt of Wausau, Diane (Clintt) Bogan of Schofield, four grandchildren, Sarah DeLaporte, Ariel Bogan, Hannah and MacKenzie Marquardt, one sister, Ella (Robert) Drews of Wausau, sister-in-law, Elnora Mosier of Lakeville, MN and nieces and nephews. Marge was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Mosier and Roy (Joann) Mosier.
Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Deacon Bob Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services. You may sign our family guest book at helke.com.
