Marjorie E. Mortenson, 96, went to be with our Lord June 22, 2017.
She was born on January 9, 1921 in Antigo, the daughter of Jesse and Pearl (Wood) Thorne. After graduating from Antigo High School, she attended Langlade County Normal School and later taught grade school. During WWII Marjorie served in the Women's Army Air Corps. On July 26, 1944 she married Gordon Mortenson in Antigo. The couple owned and operated a family dairy farm in the Township of Easton. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1984.
Margie was a devout Christian who studied the Bible intently.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sue Ann (Jerry) Juedes, Ringle, one son; Tom (Cathie) Mortenson, Rothschild, four grandsons; Steven (Tracy) Juedes, Wausau, Peter Juedes, Green Bay, Todd Mortenson, Shorewood, Tate Mortenson, Dallas, TX., one great-grandson, Elijah Juedes, one brother, Roy (Phyliss) Thorne, Wausau, and many other relatives. Marjorie was preceded in death by brothers Glen Thorn, Richard and Donald Thorne and sisters Evelyn and Eileen Damitz, Jean Kautza and June Schneck.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M on June 26 at Wausau Bible Church. Pastor Chris Juvinall will officiate. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
