Marjorie Ruth Tatman, 89, of Wausau went home to the Lord on December 1, 2017.
She was born September 14, 1928 in Wausau to the late Raymond and Gertrude Anderson. Marjorie was previously married to the late William L. Tatman of Wausau. She was preceded in death by her only brother, Robert Anderson of Roseburg, Oregon.
Marjorie worked in the Revenue Accounting Department of the Telephone Company and the Statistical Department of Wausau Insurance. After retiring, she worked as a part-time receptionist for the Mayor’s Office at Wausau City Hall.
Marjorie was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Wausau. She took great comfort in being part of that faith community.
Family was important to Marjorie. She especially enjoyed family time at the cottage in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. She also enjoyed attending musical, sporting, and other events of her children and grandchildren.
Marjorie was thankful for special times spent with friends. Whether it was through bowling and golf leagues, various card clubs, swimming at the Health Care Center, walking and having coffee in the Mall, attending events at the Grand Theater or traveling together, her friends brought her joy.
Marjorie is survived by one son, Michael Tatman of Wausau, two daughters, Susan (David) Weber of Wausau, Tari Tatman of Pearl City, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Louie Eisenman of Eau Claire, Lisa Eisenman of Wausau, Abigail Gutbrod of Tomahawk, Ashley (Corey) Rehwaldt of Richfield, MN; and three great grandchildren, Presley Gutbrod,
Nolan and Morgan Rehwaldt.
Per her request, a private family service is being held.
The family would like to especially thank Homme Home Adult Day Center, Sylvan Crossings on Evergreen Assisted Living Facility and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services for their loving care and devotion.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would appreciate donations in Marjorie’s name to First Presbyterian Church, 406 Grant St., Wausau, 54403 or Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, 520 N. 32nd Ave., Wausau, 54401.
