Marjorie Wiechmann

March 28, 1920 — December 5, 2009

Marjorie (Marge) Atherton Wiechmann passed away from natural causes on December 5 , 2009, in Naples, Florida at age 89. She was born at home on March 28, 1920 in Wausau, Wisconsin.


She graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1938 and then went east to attend Pine Manor. She married John Kiefer Wiechmann of Wausau December, 1939. They lived in Wausau, and Minocqua, Wisconsin, as well as Marco Island, and Naples, Florida. Marge resided at Bentley Village in Naples, Florida since 1998.


Marge and John had two children---John Wiechmann of Minocqua, Wisconsin and Sandy Troxell (husband Tom) of Bend, Oregon. She is survived by five grandchildren--Shane Wiechmann, Shannon Eckley, Steve Wiechmann, Holly Collingwood and Hobie Troxell. Marge is also survived by six great grandchildren--Jon, April, Steve, Teresa, Alan and Anna. Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1998.


Marge especially enjoyed living in the Northwoods on Lake Kawaguesaga in Minocqua, hunting and fishing at Rainbow Lodge with John, cooking for family and friends, knitting for family members, and collecting shells on the Florida beaches.


Services will be held at St John The Baptist Episcopal Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in Wausau., Wisconsin.
