Martha Trevino

Martha Alvarez Trevino, 50, Wausau, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, at home, in her sleep.

Martha was born June 8, 1966 to the late Jesus and Consuelo Alvarez in El Paso, Texas. She married the late Michael Trevino on June 5, 1993, in El Paso. They were blessed with two beloved children, Melissa Shae and Marcus Alexander.

Martha had a Medical Coding Specialist Technical Diploma from NTC. She had a wide range of interests, among them crocheting, cooking , reading, and playing mah jong. Her passion was being with people and loved being with her family and friends, especially gathered around a good meal and lively conversation. Her big smile and warm laughter were always a delight. Martha was an active member at Mt. Sinai Congregation, teaching in the religious school and being a part of the caring committee.

Martha is survived by her dear children, Melissa and Marcus, sisters Consuelo (Robert) Pantoja of El Paso, Texas, and Lourdes Alvarez of Wausau, Wisconsin, and brother Jesus (Bertha) Alvarez of El Paso, Texas, as well as her many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael.

There will be a graveside committal at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Wausau Hebrew Cemetery, 1600 Grand Avenue. Rabbi Dan Danson will be officiating. Shiva services will be held at Mt. Sinai on Thursday, June 23rd and Friday 24th at 7:00 pm.
