Mary Balz

1928 - 2015
Mary Jane Katherine Balz (Spulak) passed to Heaven peacefully on December 30th 2015 at Aspirus Comfort Care with her family at her side.
Mary Jane was born November 26th 1928 to parents Otto and Sophie Spulak.
She married Robert Balz her beloved husband of 62 years. She was the loving mother of Dennis (Inez Parks) Petrowski, son, daughters Marilyn (Walter) Schmidt Merrill WI., Roxanne (John) Thomas, Wausau WI., Susan (Hap) Zehner Schofield WI... She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents Otto and Sophie, sister Florence Nead and Brother Walt Spulak. She is survived by her brother Stanley Spulak.
Our loving mother had enjoyed her life to the fullest. MaryJane enjoyed Working side by side with her husband in his business such as contracting, home remodeling, bait shop, and enjoying the Christmas spirit making their decorations for the Christmas season. She also loved listening to music. Her husband played in a polka band and mother taught us all to polka. She also going fishing and hunting with her husband. Maryjane enjoyed relaxing in the vegetable and flower garden; she loved having a colorful yard. Bird watching out the kitchen window with a good cup of coffee was another interest. Going to watch the fireworks on the 4th was always breathtaking to her. Also going for rides with her daughters in the parks and having a lunch, seeing the fall colors and gazing at the fresh fallen snow always gave her peace of mind. Her family will miss her deeply, but we know she is in loving hands and at peace.
