Mary Kay Pfingsten, 60, Rothschild, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home with her loving husband by her side following a long battle with cancer.
Mary was born January 6, 1956 in Marshfield to Robert and the late Jeanette (Pankratz) Williams. She is a 1974 graduate of DC Everest High School and worked as a Medical Lab Receptionist for the past 30 years with Marshfield Clinics. Mary married Randy Pfingsten on February 13, 1993 in Wausau.
Mary was a wonderful mother who worked hard to provide for her family. She was a very social person, always making those around her feel special to her. Mary had a very special ability to create wonderful treasures for her family with her talents with needle and thread. She would produce "Thinkbooks" for each child, grandchild, niece and nephew, sew doll clothes and knit scarves. Mary's talents also included knitting, crocheting and needlepoint in addition to her excellent seamstress skills. When the holidays came around, everyone was delighted to have dozens of delicious Christmas cookies specially baked for them and an amazing holiday meal year round. In her free time, Mary enjoyed the peaceful times fishing with family.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 23 years, Randy; sons, Chad (Kristin) Koerten of Suamico and Collin Pfingsten; grandchildren, Madeline, Tanner, Elizabeth and Beckett; father, Robert Williams of Hazelhurst; siblings, Ellen (Bob) Buss of Green Bay, Randy Williams of Wausau, Jeff (Mary) Williams of Wausau, Jim (Carol) Williams of Wausau and Dave (Mary Ann Treadwell, fiancé) Williams of Shawano; sister-in-law, Corrine Williams of Schofield; and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Williams.
A prayer service for Mary will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven cemetery.
