Mary Lou Weise, 71, went peacefully to be with the Lord and her husband, Bob on Wednesday, October 19th at Marywood Convalescent Center in Wausau, WI.
Mary Lou will be remembered for her strong faith, encouraging words and smile that lit up her face. She loved her family very much! That same love she shared with the children at Kid's Bible Club at Bible Truth Chapel and One Way Club at Highland Community Church. She was an active member of Bible Truth Chapel and also shared her faith through encouraging letters to inmates in a Jail Ministry program.
Mary Lou was born November 30, 1939 in Wausau to the late Milburn and LaVerne (Gehrke) Johnson. She was a graduate of Wausau High School. On May 16, 1959, Mary Lou married Bob Weise at First Presbyterian Church. In her younger years, she worked at FilmAll, Camelot Cleaners, Employer's Insurance, and playground supervisor at John Marshall School. Mary Lou worked as an assistant and telemarketer for Bradley and Whalen Financial Services for 22 years, retiring in 2008.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Diane) of Ringle, Robert (Nancy) of Wausau, four grandchildren, Melinda (Philip) Mleziva, Jonathon (Brittany) Weise, Timothy and Jennifer Weise, two great grandchildren, Kaison and Lilith Mleziva, one brother, Ronald (Shirley) Johnson of Wausau and one sister, JoAnn (Bob) Hodgson of Milwaukee. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her infant son, Matthew.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Bible Truth Chapel, Wausau. Dr. Jeff Hinds will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
