Mathilda Schoenrock, 88, of Wausau passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1921 in Wittenberg to the late Henry and Amelia (Kringle) Kobs. On October 22, 1943, Mathilda married Norbert Schoenrock in Wausau. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1970. Mathilda enjoyed traveling, flower gardening and embroidering.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawn (Duke) Gyrion of Neenah, two grandchildren, Rachel (Clint) Ribble and their children Joseff and Benjamin of Nolensville, TN, Brent (Audre Mathis) Krause of Salt Lake City, UT, six step grandchildren, thirteen step great grandchildren, and one sister, Marie Nueske of Wittenberg. Mathilda was further preceded in death by her son, Daryl, sister, Elda Learned, brother, John Kobs, and brother-in-law, Robert Nueske.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2009 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Ray Miller and Jason Stein will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

We also would like to thank Dr. Tom Rengel for his expert advice and treatment he gave Mom over these many years.
