Mr. Merlin Elvin Enkers, 54, lifelong resident of Wausau, died September 20, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Enkers was born July 15, 1955, the son of Edward Elroy and Lorraine (Even) Enkers. He attended local schools and graduated from Wausau West High School. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Wausau; and the United Commercial Travelers (UCT).
He is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Victoria (Kevin) Salancik, Murfreesboro, TN; 3 grandchildren, Max, Ben, and Elizabeth Salancik; mother, Lorraine Enkers, Wausau; 4 siblings, Dianne Brookhyser, Mosinee, Sharon (Robert) Golla, Stevens Point, Eugene (Kathy) Enkers, Ringle, and Robert (Jane) Enkers, Schofield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Edward, in 1988.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24th, at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, at the funeral home on Thursday.
