Michael A. Drews

Michael A. Drews, 73, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on January 25, 2025, following a courageous 15-month battle with lung cancer. Mike was born on June 7, 1951, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to the late Robert and Ella (Moiser) Drews. He graduated from Wausau Senior High School in 1969. During his high school years, he met the love of his life and best friend, Susan Brown, and they were married on June 6, 1970.

For over 30 years, Mike owned and operated Showcase Carpets in Schofield, Wisconsin, retiring in June 2023. Outside of his work, he was a passionate Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan and a dedicated NASCAR enthusiast. He loved working outside in his yard and traveling with family. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ella Drews, and his mother-in-law, LaVerne Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Susan; his children, Chad (Lisa) Drews and Jennifer (Jeffery) Koss; and his treasured grandsons, Niklas and Caleb Drews

Funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at St Mark Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr, Wausau   Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at church on Saturday
