Michael Sybeldon

Michael Murray Sybeldon, 54, Kronenwetter, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 as of a result of an automobile accident.

Michael was born August 22, 1960 in Milwaukee, WI to the late John and Mary (nee Redfield) Sybeldon. He is a 1978 graduate of Wausau West High School. Following high school, Michael joined the US Marine Corps. He served aboard the USS Belleau Wood with D Company 1st TracVeh Battalion 3rd Marine Division. His tour took him to Okinawa, Diego Garcia, Korea and Africa. Following his honorable discharge in 1983, Michael continued his education at North Central Technical College. For many years, he has worked for Jones, Lang & LaSalle as a maintenance mechanic.

Michael married Joyce Whitt on August 28, 2007 in a beautiful beach wedding in Key West, Florida.

Like his father, Michael was a very proud Marine. He will fondly be remembered as a loving father and husband. Michael enjoyed spending time outdoors, in particular Michael appreciated the solitude found in hunting and fishing.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, Kevin of Rothschild; siblings, Jean (Theodore) Barreaux of Washington, DC, Jeffery (Judy) of Rothschild and Scott (Theresa) of Weston; and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Edwin and Rosetta Sybeldon and maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Genevieve Redfield.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau. Deacon Bob Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. You may sign our family guestbook at helke.com.
