Mildred Dehnel

September 30, 1916 — November 17, 2011

Milred was born September 30th 1916, the daughter of the late Fred W. and Emma (Knuth) King, she was a lifelong resident of Wausau. On June 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to Raymond Dehnel and together they shared 45 years of marriage before his death in 1982. Mildred was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau; and worked as a lab analyst for Kraft Foods for 42 years. She lived at Renaissance Assisted Living for the past 5 years.

Millie was a fan of bowling and attended many tournaments with teammates. She loved to fish and would be found wearing her blue plaid fishing hat and a smile. She opened her house and her heart to the whole family, often for holiday parties and celebrations of all kinds. She met for cards with her regular card club. Her positive attitude had an impact on many people and she will be deeply missed.

Mildred Clara Dehnel died November 17, 2011, at Aspirus Hospice House, Wausau. She was 95 years old.

She is survived by her brother, Herbert (Joyce) King, Schofield; many nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Robert, Raymond, Fred, Charles, and George King; and 2 sisters, Helen Schalow and Lucille Neubauer.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22nd, at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Reverend Ted Gulhaugen will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive guests Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
