Milton was born December 28th 1924, the son of the late Philip and Emma (Koenig) Seehafer, in the town of Stettin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. On June 7th 1952, he was united in marriage to Joan M. Klapperich, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Together they raised five children and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Milton worked for Wausau Insurance for 44 years, retiring as a property underwriting manager for the Wausau region.
Milt lived a life of service to God, his family, and his community. There was nothing more he enjoyed than being with people and helping those he loved. Milt was an exceptional dad, who was a good role model to his children. Growing up, he was very close to his parents and siblings and he passed his love of family onto his children. He was a kind man, who had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran church, where he served for over six decades. Volunteering with the Golden K and delivering mobile meals were very important to Milt.
On June 25th 2013, Milton Philip Seehafer died, with his beloved wife at his side, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was 88 years old. Milton will be greatly missed and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
