Muriel Wilson

September 2, 1919 — April 14, 2013

Muriel M. Wilson, 93, passed away at Aspirus Hospice House on April 14, 2013. She was born to Arthur and Mary (Gerrits) Smits on September 2, 1919, in Green Bay. On November 18, 1939, she married Robert C. Wilson. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1994.

Muriel was specially known for her wit and humor. She enjoyed playing cards and had a regular game with her friends at Island Place, where she was a long-time resident. She could work a crossword like no other and was an incredible writer. She loved to travel and was able to do so once her kids were grown. She had taken trips to England, Holland, France, Italy, Ireland and the Caribbean. She was also a dyed-in-the-wool Packer fan. Her favorite thing to do, however, was to spend time laughing with her family. They shall miss her unendingly.

Muriel is survived by her children Frederick (Colleen) Wilson, Green Bay; Kathleen (William) Rust, White Bear Lake, MN; Elizabeth Veternick, Sherrillsford, NC; Maureen (Art) Dollase, Coon Rapids, MN; Helen (Tim) Canfield, St. Paul, MN; Jan (Keith) Koeppel, Rothschild, WI; Bonnie (Daun) Korkow, North Las Vegas, NV; and Victoria (Michael Swanson) Wilson, Seattle, WA; son-in-law, Richard Gray, Athens, WI; grandchildren, Michelle (Lon) Gerondale, Molly Wilson, Laura (Mike) Riebe, Jennifer (Scott) Cornelius, Chris (Tracey) Rust, Jessica (Kermit) Boyum, Paul Canfield, Elliot (Sarah) Canfield, Austin Koeppel, Hannah Koeppel, and Ashley Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nick, Alex, Lindsey, Alyssa, Grant, Madison, Caleb, Joshua, Erich, Alex, Peter, and Charlotte.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn (Richard) Gray; son, Brian Wilson; son-in-law, Ron Veternick; and great-grandson, Andrew Roberts.
